CELEBRATING THE 11th ANR AWARDS & ACFM’S 3RD CONVOCATION
ON NOVEMBER 17m

The ANR Award was instituted by the Akkineni International Foundation to
honour Dr Akkineni Nageswara Rao’s efforts to honour cinema. It’s given
annually to recognize eminent film and media professionals for their lifetime
achievements and contributions to Indian Cinema. The award was first given
to Mr Dev Anand in the year 2006. In 2017, Mr SS Rajamouli was selected for
the same. This year the foundation is proud to present the award to two great
artistes who won the hearts of audiences across the world – Sridevi and
Rekha. Mr Boney Kapoor will receive the award on behalf of Sridevi. The
awards will be presented by eminent actor-producer Mr Chiranjeevi at a
ceremony hosted by the Akkineni International Foundation at Annapurna
Studios.

On the same occasion, Annapurna College of Film and Media (ACFM) will
observe its third convocation on the 17th of November, 2019. The Chief Guest
for the convocation will be Ms Rekha. Mr Boney Kapoor (Producer) and Mr
Chiranjeevi (Actor, Producer) will also grace the event. The Vice Chancellor of
JNSFAU and VC ofJNTU will also be present.

This year, ACFM will have a total of 66 students who will be awarded their
graduation degrees from JNAFAU and JNTU. This comprises of 20 students
from the BFA (Bachelors of Fine Arts), 9 from (Bachelors in Animation and
VFX), 28 from the MA program in Film and Media, and 9 from the MMBA
program.

Started in 2011 as the only private film school located inside a film studio,
ACFM today takes pride in being a full time CILECT member with the
presence of international and national industry experts on its advisory board,
participation of professionals with real industry experience as faculty, and of
leveraging state-of—art infrastructure within a 22-acre campus. The college has
seen growth both in terms of quantity and quality – More than 300 students
pursing U6 and PG programs, 50 grad films many of which have won awards
in national and international film festivals, and 250 students completing
Certificate courses.

Architecture and Arts University, Hyderabad.
